She has always had a passion for Hair and makeup her entire life- but has been practicing professionally for three years.

Kathryn "Kat" Lyon has been an Aveda Hairstylist for 21 years and she's been a manager and hairstylist at Happy for over 16 years.
Kat is dedicated to training and improving her craft, studying in New York at the Aveda and Academy and in Miami and the Vidal Sassoon Academy. She also completes extensive continuing education through the Aveda network, sharing what she learns as Happy's internal educator. Kat loves razor cutting, shags, updos and creating beautiful blondes. She is not afraid to help a guest make a big change!
She is a certified specialist in VoMor Extensions, Brazilian Blow Outs and now offers the non-toxic treatment Pro addiction.
Kirsten

Kirsten has always had a passion for doing hair. She comes from a long lineage of hair dressers. Her mom and Grandmother were both in the hair industry, so getting to hang out in the salon was always a treat. After getting her cosmetology license, she moved to New Braunfels and went through a top apprenticeship at an Aveda salon. She’s completed continuous education throughout her career.
She and her son moved to Austin a few years ago and really love it! Now that she’s at Happy, she looks forward to having new guests in her chair and getting to finally plant some roots.

Emily is a 28 year old stylist born and raised in Austin Texas, graduated from cosmetology school in 2018 and has been working with Happy for a few years, Fantasy colors are her passion.

Happy owner Kay Wicall was a hairdresser and salon owner for 20 years before launching Happy five years ago. While she loves running the business, her passion is creating skillful haircuts and custom color that make each client their most beautiful self. “All day long, we help people feel good about themselves. It’s not just about getting a haircut, it’s about sharing and connecting, too.” As she’s built her business, she’s created a collective where stylists can grow their entire careers. “I hire for life,” says Kay. “And I have the best trained staff in Austin.”
